Stephens County Board of Commissioners

 

 

The Stephens County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for the position of County Marshal/Code Enforcer.  The responsibilities of this position includes; but are not limited to enforcing County codes/ordinances, patrolling the county to identify violations, serves as bailiff in Magistrate Court, supervises dispossessions issued by the Magistrate and maintains records of code enforcement activities.  This will be a full time temporary position.

 

Minimum qualifications for this position include a high school diploma or GED.  Education should be supplemented by one year previous experience and/or training in code enforcement or law enforcement; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which will provide the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.

 

Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia Drivers License and fire arm license, be post certified, and meet the certification provisions of O.C.G.A. 35-8-21. Other qualifications include the physical ability to complete tasks required for the job.
