Receptionist/Accounting Clerk

Stephens County Board of Commissioners is seeking to fill the position of receptionist/accounting clerk. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent plus previous experience and/or training involving general office work, customer service, knowledge of accounting, clerical skills, computer operations including Microsoft Word, Excel and accounting software packages; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

 

This position reports to the County Administrator with job duties including but not limited to: answering the phone, greeting visitors, issuing various permits, processing incoming and outgoing mail, data entry, ordering office supplies, reconciling bank statements, posting of monthly journal entries, preparing deposits, assisting in other financial areas as needed.

 

Applications will be received at the Stephens County Commissioner’s Office in the Historic Courthouse, 37 West Tugalo Street, Toccoa, GA until November 17, 2017.
