STEPHENS COUNTY E911 DISPATCHER

 

Stephens County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for E911 dispatch position.

 

The duties for this position include, but are not limited to the following; receives all emergency 911 and non-emergency calls and transmits all appropriate information to the public safety personnel, answers radio transmissions for the Police, Fire, EMS, Sheriff’s Office, EMA and other necessary public safety personnel.  Duties also include entering data into the CAD and GCIC system, monitoring security cameras and facility gate to ensure a safe facility.

 

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, the ability to multi-task; have a working knowledge of computers, able to type 35WPM with no errors, and the ability to work in a demanding environment. Completion of the Georgia Communications Officer Certification or previous experience working in a 911 center will be a plus.

 

Deadline for applications will be November 17, 2017 and will be taken at 37 West Tugalo Street in the Historic Courthouse in downtown Toccoa Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm.
