2010 Elections and Voter Registration Calendar
Qualifying for the July 20 General Primary opens Apri 26 and ends April 30 at noon. All candidates must qualify with their respective political parties. Contact Republican Party Chairperson Bill Grant at 706-886-0315 and Democratic Party Chairperson Cavonnah Holcomb at 706-282-6666.
Qualifying fees have been set by the county governing authority . The fee to qualify for county commissioner is $396 and the fee to qualify for the board of education election is $36.
The Stephens County Registrars Office is now accepting applications for absentee ballots for the July 20 General Primary. They can be mailed, faxed or hand delivered. The final day to registrat to vote in the July 20 General Primary will be June 21 at 5 p.m.
